My Trip to Kalama Wa

This last week I spent a week with my Step Sister Angie and her family in Kalama Washington. We drove all in one day. We only stopped a couple of time to get drinks or fill up on gas. It was a very beautiful day. It will be the last one all week. but we got lucky and when we did get out of the car the rest of the trip it stopped raining but if we were in the car to go look at something it would rain. For those who don't know Twilight was filmed in parts of Kalama Washington and Portland Oregon.

Here are a few pictures of their house.

Side view showing the Back side of the house

Monday(the 17th) we drove around town and went to some shops. I got a poster the is promoting Edwards Birthday in Kalama (where twilight was filmed) then we went to Five Rivers Construction(Angie's Husband Mike-owner) to see Colton's(her son)truck and to see where they work.

We went to see Mike's mother who lives in Longview and we stop by the park by her house. It kind of like the Greenbelt in Idaho Falls.

Here is the school were some of the scenes for Twilight were filmed.

We went to Colton's High school (where they filmed Twilight) and he showed up around and even acted like Edwards for some of the pictures.

Here is Angie trying to bit my neck(to bad it is not Edward)

We went back and watch parts of the film and when we were watching Colton told us the Bella never closes her mouth so every time she was on screen and she had her mouth open would say "shut your mouth Bella" It became very funny after a while. That and we were all very tired so everything seamed funny.

Here is a picture of Colton acting like Edward in the crash scene were he is looking at Bella. He is backwards so really Rob Pattinson is standing by the drivers side of the car not the passengers side. but it was fun to see Colton do this.

Here is a picture that the production crew did for the movie you can see it really well in the scene where Bella and Edward walk up into the forest where she tells him that she knows he is a vampire.

It was also Gary's birthday so Angie invited some of her friends and we had a good time.

On Tuesday (May 18th) we went to Mt. St. Helen's, they had a 30 year anniversary for the eruption in 1980. It rained for most of the day and when we got up to the mountain it was covered by clouds. On the way back we stopped at a restaurant that was know for the cobbler and it was really good.

On Wednesday (May 19th) we went to Multnamah Falls. We went to a very good Italian Restaurant that had really good food. Sorry I can't remember the name if I get it I will update the Post.

On Thursday (May 20th) Angie, My mom and I went to Portland to check out the town and some of the older buildings. then we headed to camp 18 were they had the best cinnamon rolls. We looked around for a while where we had two cats following us and when we turned around to look to see if they were still following they would stop and kind of look like they weren't. it was really fun.

then we head to the coast were we stopped at Haystack Rock. it was really cold but I got some good pictures.

then we headed to Astoria were we went to the Column and we climbed to the top. I wish i know how may stairs we climbed but I am not sure but it was a lot. then we went across this bridge and went over to the island were they have a beach house. we didn't go all the way to the house but it was fun to go over the bridge.

On Friday (the 21st) we went to lunch with Mike and his Mom and had a good time. we took it easy and didn't do much. My Mom and i went shopping for a while then the same friends came over again and we had ribs and salmon(I didn't eat that) but i had a lot of ribs and bread. it was very good.

On Saturday we headed home we were supposed to stop in Boise for a race but they canceled it do to weather so we drove all the way to my sisters house where we stayed the night and then drove home on Sunday.

I had a wonderful time. Thanks to everyone for making this happen. I got some good pictures and some fun things to take home. A couple of shot glass and some keychains and post cards.
I have more pictures but it is getting late and I want to get this posted so keep checking for more Pictures to come in the next couple of days
