The Bud Shootout

Nascar is back. Another season of Nascar got off to a great start tonight with the Bud shootout. Cars going over 200 miles an hour. (so Insane)Jeff started 12th. For those who don't know there is no qualifying, they line up Beer Bottles and the driver picks one and it tells you were you start.
The race it self is made up of two parts. and 25 lap run and 50 lap run. In the 25 lap run there was no cations and no wreaks. but some very intense racing. The repaved the track that gave them faster speeds but the big pack that the normal run in was down to two.
The second part started off much more fast paced the the first with cars going three to sometime four wide. The first wreak of the night took half of the field. (Not all 43 cars run the bud shootout) There were only 24.
Gordon had a okay night he lead a lap but mostly was around the top 10 all night. He ended up 6th. Gordon did have funny moment when he radio is crew and said "I figured it out, This is like playing chess on the edge of a cliff with the wind blowing 50 mph gusts."
No points were given in this race as it is something extra for the fans and drivers. But it was good practice for him. Kurt Bush ended up win after Denny Hamilin went below the out of bounds line to pass another driver for the win. Can't wait to see what happens next week for the Daytona 500
