Daytona 500

Well the start of the season has started. I was so ready for nascar to start again. Alot happened. There were 8 wreaks that included the big one. First Gordon won the 1st Gatorade duel. He started 3rd. They had Keith Urban play at the pre race show. He was really good. My three drivers did really well for the most part and I got a lot of jokes about Gordon (or Super G was a name one Jeff Hammond said durning the pre race.) Gordon led a few laps as well as Dale Jr. In the pits is where jr had problems. His missed his pit stall once and the pited out side of this pit stall for another then he caused the Big One when Brain Vickers blocked him and he moved up the track and hit Brian sending him into the wall and other drivers including the leader Kyle Busch. Then Joey got cought up in a wreak that sent him in the inside wall hard. He is okay but did not do well this week but he did start 9th for the race. but finished 43rd (last place). Gordon had tire issues all night and came in around lap 130 to get new tires. he restarted 25th the moved his was up to 13th when the caution came out for rain. the race was called with 50 laps to go because the rain would have lasted for a hour and by the time they could have gotten the race track dried off and ready to go it would have been 11 pm in florida. So Matt Kenseth won the 51 running of the Daytona 500. The points as of this race is as follows.
Matt Kenseth 1st place in point and the race.
Jeff Gordon finished 13th but led laps so he is 12th in points.
Dale jr Finished 27th in point but also led a lap and got bouns point he is 26th.
Jimmy Johnson finished 31 but the guy behind him led a lap and got bouns points so he is 32th in points.
Joey Lagano finished 43rd in the race and in the points. Better luck next time Joey.
