47 races without a win. At a track Jeff Gordon has never won at, Gordon made history today. The only other track Gordon has not won at is Homestead-Miami Speedway. At Texas Motor Speedway Jeff start off on the outside of row 1 and stayed in the top 10 all race. He took the lead on the the first lap. But fell behind because of a loose car. But he stayed in the top 5 for all of the race. On Lap 221 Gordon retook the lead. He lost the

lead to Dale Jr when Pit Stop took place but reclaimed the lead a lap later. Then Carl Edwards pass him for the lead on lap 294, then Stewart passed him for second. A caution came out and everyone pits. Carl Edwards had major problems on Pit road and Lost 10 spots. Jeff Gordon beat Tony Stewart off of Pit road and Stayed out front the last 31 laps. He gets his First win at Texas after 17 tries at this race track.
